For Immediate Release
Today marked the official launch of the candidacy of George Morovich in his quest to take over the seat now occupied by Representative Lloyd Doggett. Morovich filed with the Republican Party of Texas to be a candidate for the 25th U.S. Congressional District.
On this momentous occasion, Morovich said, “When we unseat the incumbent, I will work very hard for the people of the 25th U.S. Congressional District. My worldwide business experience has given me a unique perspective on the many issues facing our nation today. I intend to serve my constituents and be accountable to them as well as to the U.S. Constitution. I will be a ‘representative’ in the truest sense of that word.”
George wants to thank his supporters. He looks forward to working with them to win the Primary election.
George Morovich ran against Rep. Doggett in the 2008 general election where he garnered almost 90,000 votes, the most votes against Lloyd Doggett since 1996. He came in #3 of the 10 Republican Congressional challengers in Texas. He is confident that he will be successful in 2010 with the continued support of “We the People” who want to take back the government and put the people in charge.
